Alisal Guest Ranch Saddles Up and Increases Business

Since partnering with Wagstaff Worldwide in 2005, a number of exciting promotions have been created for Alisal Guest Ranch—the Cowgirl Bootcamp being the most successful to date. When Alisal implemented this “city slickers getaway” for travelers wanting to try their hands at being a cowgirl, they turned to Wagstaff to spread the word. As a result of Wagstaff’s efforts, the Cowgirl Bootcamp garnered prominent national placements in print outlets such as USA Today, Travel + Leisure, and The New York Times, as well as a full segment for NBC’s “Today.” The success of Cowgirl Bootcamp led to the creation of other bootcamps, including Alisal’s newest offering, BBQ Bootcamp. Partnering with Grillmaster Frank Ostini of the famed Hitching Post II Restaurant and Winery, the three-night, four-day BBQ Bootcamp teaches guests all the ins-and-outs of Santa Maria-style grilling. After a very successful media and VIP test run in March 2011, BBQ Bootcamp is expected to sell out when it officially launches in October 2011. Placements secured to date include a story in Cowboys & Indians, features on popular men’s websites such as Thrillist and Urban Daddy, and more.
