John Daw, Marketing Manager

A native of South Australia, John moved to Los Angeles in 2007 with a passion to promote his home state in the world’s largest economy. After graduating from the University of Adelaide, where he majored in marketing and management, John worked around Australia as a project manager for a leading market research agency, during which time he honed his consultative skills with some of the country’s largest commercial, government, and nonprofit organizations. With a desire to work abroad, John established a U.S.-based marketing company with three fellow South Australians to promote study, work, and travel to Australia. After pursuing this business, he took the position as marketing manager for the Americas, representing the South Australian Tourism Commission. He is particularly excited to blend his interests in marketing, communications, and tourism in his role at Wagstaff.

Sandra Nerlich, Marketing Manager

Sandra Nerlich brings to Wagstaff over 25 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. A native Californian born in Hollywood, Sandra spent 15 years in the tourism and travel industry in a wide range of roles—including operations management, reservations, tour escort, incentive and business events to leisure, outside sales, and product development for North America’s top-producing wholesale travel companies for the South Pacific. Sandra has also spent over 10 years as market development manager with the Destination New South Wales Tourism Board marketing team. In more recent times she has worked on special projects with Tourism Victoria, Tourism Western Australia, and Tourism Australia in partnerships, events, destination specialist programs, promotion, and marketing. While Sandra’s experience strengths are in the South Pacific, she branched out with the Falkland Islands in developing a sales and marketing program as part of their first marketing efforts in North America. Travel is one of Sandra’s favorite pastimes. Combining her interests in art, culture, design, food, wine, nature, and authentic experiences has brought her to Australia over 40 times, as well as many trips to New Zealand and the Pacific islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Fiji, Beachcomber, Castaway, Turtle, Tokoriki, Malolo, Mana, and Vatulele. Closer to home, Sandra has been to all the provinces of Canada and visited nearly 30 U.S. states—with a long-term goal to visit all 50, as well as explore Europe and Africa.
